About Me

With over 3 years of production experience, I specialise in bridging the gap between elegant user interfaces and robust backend architectures. Currently, I focus on building scalable systems using React, Next.js, TypeScript, Java, and Spring Boot.

Recently, I've been deeply engaged with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker) and integrating AI/RAG systems to create next-generation intelligent applications.

    Before university, I interned in banking and gained hands-on experience in fast cash teller operations, credit documentation, pawning, and KYC management. The role taught me discipline, accuracy, and how to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    As always yet the Sole engineer: product, architecture, backend, frontend, infrastructure and deployment with Claude

    Problem: Sri Lankan readers split across Sinhala, Tamil and English, and a small newsroom needs to publish to all three without tripling the work. It also needs daily public data like exchange rates and lottery results, on a budget a startup newsroom can carry.

    Impact: A Go API and Next.js 16 site serving three language editions, with a newsroom covering stories, wire copy, CBSL exchange rates,lottery results and an almanac. Editions are translated with Claude, staff sign in with two-step authentication, and a staging environment on AWS is redeployed by GitHub Actions on every merge, with automatic rollback if a release fails its health check. Production launch in progress.
